What to expect at this year’s Dickens on Centre

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The Dickens on Centre celebrations in Fernandina’s historic district start tomorrow and last through the weekend. This year, there are a few new additions to the celebration to look forward to and we can’t wait to enjoy them!

First, Santa has a new spot this year, in the Tiny Tim’s Kid Zone. AND, you’ll experience snow falling while you wait to meet him and take your photos. That’s right, snow! In Florida!

There will be a special Christmas Wish booth, where celebration goers can experience the magic and meaning of the season by making a special wish and hanging it on the Christmas tree.

Dickens After Dark, A Twisted Dickens event for those over 21, features a “Scrooged-up” version of A Christmas Carol. Let go of your guilt and regret as you tell us your past misdeeds anonymously, and then, during the show, a chained Jacob Marley will share them with the world! Catch 2nd Act Stage at the end of Artist Alley performing “The Legend of St. Nick” and more at various times throughout the weekend.

Additional new additions to the festivities include: chalk artists, a goat petting area, glass blowing and much more!
